Research project: Mental health resources for employability of health-care workers

The project has three objectives:

(1) To support researchers in R2-R4 phase of their career;

(2) To analyze individual mental health resources as a crucial component of employability in HCWs;

(3) To overcome deficits in individual mental health resources and to boost HCWs employability.

Research project: Leadership promoting a psychologically safe workplace and its role in supporting speak-up of employees and mental health in the workplace

The project aims to describe the competencies of secure-based leadership, which creates a psychologically safe working environment and provides tools for supporting mental health in the workplace. It will create a competence model for secure-based leadership; identify barriers and facilitators of a psychologically safe workplace; evaluate the usefulness of the development program for increasing psychological safety in the work environment. The project´s central hypothesis is the assumption that secure-based leadership increases the psychological safety and speak-up of the employees and thereby contributes to active stress management and the support of workers mental health. We will apply the qualitative and quantitative psychological research methodology to a working adult sample. The project´s contribution will be the verification of the model of secure-based leadership and the resulting possibilities for practical interventions and the expansion of theoretical and empirical knowledge about psychological safety and the speak-up of employees, with impacts on workers´ mental health.
